The full moon in Libra is an auspicious time for examining our relationships, not just with others but with ourselves. If you’re not familiar with astrology, Libra is represented by the scales, which represent balance. 

This full moon is an opportunity to check in on the relationships in our lives and to consider how we can bring them into greater balance. Before we can do that, though, we need to get our relationship with ourselves sorted. Let’s use this new moon to create balance and harmony. We’ll enhance how we connect with others, by deepening our connection to self. 

Let’s travel through these 3 exercises:

Exercises to get back to you

  1. Do a body scan: Find a quiet place where you can lie down or sit comfortably. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then, starting with your head, scan down through your body, paying attention to how each part feels. Notice any tension, discomfort, or pain. Try to simply observe what you’re feeling, without judging it.

     

  2. Pain attention: If you noticed any pain or discomfort while scanning your body, take some time to focus on that area. Imagine sending your breath and energy to that part of your body, and visualize any tension or pain melting away. If it’s an area of your body that you can love and rub on, please do!

     

  3. Look at judgment: Think about the following: How do you talk to yourself? What are the things you say to yourself each day?

    Are you loving and patient? Kind and compassionate? Or are you actually kinda rude and judgmental?
    Try to observe your thoughts throughout the day, and see if you can replace them with kinder thoughts. If journaling is your thing, jot them down there.

Moving forward in ease

As we move through this pink moon, let’s be a little gentler and kinder with ourselves. We are not supposed to be perfect, and we will never have all of the answers. Shift away from the non-productive chatter and focus on compassion and deep love.
